HPE VC 8Gb 24-Port FC Module
HPE VC 16Gb 24-Port FC Module
Beginning with VC 4.50, the HPE VC 4Gb Fibre Channel Module (409513-B22) for BladeSystem c-Class (enhanced NPIV) is no longer supported.
VC 4.50 contains the following enhancements:
Support for HPE 40Gb QSFP+BiDi transceivers on HPE VC FlexFabric-20/40 F8 modules
Detects and reports when the VC Domain contains a mix of TAA and non-TAA modules

Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends using the most current firmware and driver updates for your components following the SPP release.
Virtual Connect 4.50 release resolves the following issues:
False temperature warnings are seen in OA and VCM for Flex 10/10D modules.
In a 3PAR direct attach configuration with HPE VC FlexFabric-20/40 F8 modules, the module reset or power cycle might result in permanent SAN outage due to hosts failing to login SAN after VC module boots up.
When an invalid FTP URL to SSH Keys file is provided or an invalid SSH Key is provided in SSH Key Administration screen, then the “Failed to set ssh Key(s)” error is displayed.
SSLv3 support has been disabled to avoid POODLE vulnerability (CVE-2014-3566).
Issues related to community strings for VC FC modules, HPE VC 8Gb 24-port FC Module and HPE VC 16Gb 24-Port FC Module in SNMP configuration.
Virtual Connect interface SNMP counters: ifInDiscards and ifOutDiscards are generally incremented for various conditions in VC operation. It has been modified to account for packet drops due to buffer constraints.
QLogic SAN switch ports encounter high CRC errors and decode errors at 8Gbps link speed with HPE VC 8Gb 24-port FC Module.
ELS commands get rejected and host on HPE VC 8Gb 24-port FC Module can no longer communicate with the target in the 3rd party vendor fabric. This may happen in a Fabric with VCFC module F-port with at least one NPIV login, and one of the NPIV logins has a PID with the domain and area portion equal to that of the target.
Boot Mode is changed to Legacy from UEFI after server is moved to another bay.
Boot Mode is changed to Legacy from UEFI after removal or replacement of Mezz cards.
VCM GUI Profile Boot Parameter does not accept certain target WWNs.
Frequent profile edit operations involving Flex port connection deletions might cause temporary network & FCoE outage.
SR-IOV settings in the BIOS will not be modified by VC for profiles configured with SR-IOV type Default or Disabled if SR-IOV settings are Disabled on all profile connections.
When VSN and VUUID mis-match is found between Server ROM and Server Profile, upgrading from HP Virtual Connect Firmware Version 3.7x or earlier to firmware version 4.20 or later might result in FC and FCoE outage.
SNMP traps are not generated for HPE VC 8Gb 24-Port FC Module when upgraded from pre 4.40 release and SNMP was disabled before upgrade.
Validation of Storage Management Credentials of HP P4000 SAN/iQ (LeftHand OS) version 11.5 or later fails.
Enhancement of the error messages related to LDAP connectivity under FIPS mode.
The show config command fails with an ASSERTION error when the Domain IP status is enabled and the Gateway IP is empty.
VC 4.50 addresses several security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
